Luke Evslin is a co-founder of Kamanu Composites. His primary role is to handle the finances and run the business side of the company. Luke is from Wailua on Kaua'i. He first started paddling in 1996 for Kaiola Canoe Club. After graduating from Kaua'i High School in 2003, he moved to California to attend Claremont McKenna College. But after two years of paddling in circles around a reservoir 50 miles from the ocean, Luke moved to O'ahu to attend the University of Hawai'i. He graduated in 2007 with a degree in history. Luke has competed as one of Hawai'i's top paddlers and, during his time in California, was one of California's top OC-1 paddlers. In 2007 he developed a passion for the rudderless V-1 which ultimately led to him traveling to Tahiti to compete in the Super Aito.
