We have a new canoe called the Pueo entering production. Details, specs, performance reviews and everything else you might want to know about the canoe will be updated on this website as soon as possible. In the mean time, please enjoy the photos above. On Oahu, a demo canoe of the Pueo will be available after May 18th. Please email or call for more information.

Grand Opening

Thanks everyone who came on May 5th. To recap, the evening ran quite well, with an estimated 150 people showing up on a Monday evening. Paddlers from Australia, New Zealand, California, Washington, and all over Hawai’i in town for the Kaiwi Relay were able to make it. Over 700 raffle tickets were sold for the canoe giveaway — proceeds of which will be donated to the Hawai’i Va’a Association.

For everyone who didn’t come or couldn’t make it, we’ll do it again some time.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped out all night. Thank you to:

Grand Opening & Clinic on May 5th!

After being open for the last seven months, Kamanu Composites is finally having a Grand Opening.

On May 5th we will be celebrating the completion of our Kailua shop and introducing our new OC-1 and V-1 canoes. Since the OC-1 season is drawing to a close and everyone is burnt out from training too much,we are going to be hosting a paddling clinic with John Puakea and Danny Ching. Following the clinic will be free food and prize giveaways (including a new canoe). If you are interested in coming please send an email to info@kamanucomposites.com so that we can make enough food.

Starts at 5pm, the paddling clinic begins at 6pm.
